Do The Right Thing

We are the community, we are the family, we are the parents, the grandparents, the aunties and uncles, the brothers and sisters, and friends. We have to take care of each other.

Our first responsibility is to take care of the children.

Humans are the only animal species that justifies doing what it wants to do. We frequently want someone else to assume our community, family and parental roles. We say, “here, go entertain yourselves, I’m busy”, or, we want the education systems or programs to teach our children. We know that is not the right thing to do!

In the animal world, however, and, in particular, for the mother, there is no other responsibility than to care for her young—to feed, to protect, and to teach them--about survival in their community/culture, and, ultimately, in turn, their responsibility for the next seven generations. We are the community, we are the family, we are the parents, the grandparents, the aunties and uncles, the brothers and sisters, and friends. We have to take care of each other.

We have to do the right thing!
